미국은 30개주 8백만두가 폐사한 것으로 추정하고 있습니다. 상기의 발생 지역(주)과 돼지두수 분포도(색깔이 파란색일수록 많은 돼지 분포)를 보시면 사육밀집 지역은 대부분 발병한 것으로 보시면 되겠습니다. 참고적으로 우리나라 PED 발생 현황(농촌경제연구소)을 참고하시기 바랍니다. 아시겠지만 자료가 현실을 명확히 반영한다 볼 수는 없지만 년도별 발생트렌드 정도만 보시면 좋을 것 같습니다. PEDV의 맹위는 사그러들기미가 안보이는 가운데 다시한번 농장의 차단방역프로그램에 대해 점검을 검토해 보시기 바라며 특히나 PED에 유효한 소독제와 희석배수, 매뉴얼을 실행하고 있는지 보시기 바랍니다. KASV.

PED-Positive Farm Samples in US Exceed 7,000

US - The total number of pig farm samples that have tested positive for the Porcine Epidemic Diarrhoea (PED) virus now stands at 7,111 in 30 states, writes Jackie Linden.

The National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) reports 142 positive accessions out of 749 tested at seven veterinary diagnostic labs for the week ending 31 May, according to the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV).

The number of states reported to the NAHLN as having at least one confirmed case of PED remains at 30.

Pig Farm Samples Testing Positive for PEDv: 7,111

The total number of pig farm samples (termed 'laboratory biological accessions' in the official report) that have tested positive for the PED virus (PEDv) since April 2013 now stands at 7,111, which includes 756 for the month of May so far.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 20,740 farm samples have been tested, of which 30 per cent have tested positive for the virus.

Results by age class

Suckling pigs

For the current month to date, 568 farms have been tested, of which 199 samples or 35 per cent were positive for PEDv.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 2,861 farm samples have been tested, of which 1,543 samples or 47 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Nursery pigs

For the current month to date, 512 farms have been tested, of which 120 samples or 23 per cent were positive for PEDv.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 3,283 farm samples have been tested, of which 1,289 samples or 35 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Grower/finisher pigs

For the current month to date, 594 farms have been tested, of which 106 samples or 18 per cent were positive for PEDv.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 3,666 farm samples have been tested, of which 1,295 samples or 27 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Sows and boars

For the current month to date, 413 farms have been tested, of which 61 samples or 15 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 1,752 farm samples have been tested, of which 615 samples or 26 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Unknown age class

For the current month to date, 1,655 farms have been tested, of which 300 samples or 18 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 9,927 farm samples have been tested, of which 2,551 samples or 25 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Results by state

According to AASV, the total number of states affected remains at 30.

The total number of positive accessions on this report (up to the week of 25 May) is 7,111.

Those states with 100 or more positive tests are: Iowa, 2,066; Minnesota, 1,173; Illinois, 747; North Carolina, 706; Oklahoma, 396; Indiana, 382; Ohio, 322; Kansas, 264; Missouri, 196, Michigan, 175 and Nebraska, 139.

For the most recent week (week of 25 May), most of the new cases - 32 of the 142 new positive results - were in Iowa, followed by Illinois with 26 and Minnesota with 23.

Also reporting one or more positive results were Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Texas.

 

 

Pig Samples Testing Positive for PEDv: 26,069

The total number of swine samples (termed 'biological samples' in the official report) since testing began in June 2013 now stands at 26,069.

For the current month to date, 26,359 samples have been tested, of which 3,923 or 15 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 105,141 samples have been tested, of which 22 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Environmental Samples Testing Positive for PEDv: 5,984

The total number of environmental samples testing positive since testing began in June 2013 now stands at 5,984.

For the current month to date, 4,519 samples have been tested, of which 882 or 20 per cent tested positive for PEDv.

Since testing was fully reported in November 2013, 22,377 samples have been tested, of which 24 per cent tested positive.

PED가 계속 되는 이유 60%

 

오늘도 신규 PED 발생 소식이 확인된 가운데 금번 7월호 월간한돈에 흥미로운 기사가 있어 소개 드립니다. 기사를 간단히 요약하면 아래와 같습니다. 검역본부에서 샘플링한 출하차량 10대 중 6대가 PED 양성이라고 합니다. (미국은 6.6%). 한편 도축장에서 오염되는 비율은 조사된 바가 없지만  상당히 높을 것이라는 것은 쉽게 추정할 수 있을 것으로 생각합니다. 결과적으로 출하차량에 대한 PED 컨트롤(음성유지)이 되지 않는다면 개별농장의 백신전략 그리고 차단방역, 인공감염의 효과가 반감될 수 밖에 없으며 PED의 년중 발병은 당연할 것으로 생각합니다. 한편 관련 9월경 본 이슈에 대해 공개적인 논의가 있을 예정이며 추후 공지하도록 하겠습니다. 감사합니다.
